How SpotMax works: transcription, translation and live hints during a call

SpotMax is a transparent panel that runs on top of any calling app. No plugin, no extension, no access to someone else's API: it listens to your computer's system audio, so it doesn't matter where the conversation happens — Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Telegram or a regular call.

Step 1. Audio capture

When you launch SpotMax before a call, it starts reading the system audio stream. That means both the other person's voice and your own go into processing — exactly what you hear in your headphones. The panel is visible only to you: it does not appear in screen sharing or in a call recording.

Step 2. Speech recognition and speaker separation

The speech stream is turned into text. In parallel, diarization separates lines by speaker, so the transcript shows who said what. Recognition and diarization run on the device and can stay local, without sending audio anywhere.

Step 3. Translation

If the other side speaks another language, SpotMax translates the lines. Translation is the only part that may use the cloud, and only if you turn it on; recognition and diarization still stay on the device. Everyone sees the conversation in their own language, and you don't lose meaning at the moment a deal is being decided.

Step 4. Hints

On top of the transcript, SpotMax surfaces hints: answer wording and talking points tuned to your context — an uploaded resume, your role, rules you set in advance. It's not a teleprompter that talks for you, it's a co-pilot that keeps the thread while you focus on the person.

The result

One tool covers what used to need an interpreter, a recording service and post-meeting notes. The conversation becomes text, translation and a protocol — while the company's most sensitive data stays under your control.
